Formed in 1965 from mostly American investment, The GABL is sub-divided into two smaller Leagues, the Northern League and Southern League.
Each smaller League has 6 teams each, which play in a round-robin format for the season, lasting from late April to early October.
The team receives 3 points for a win, 0 for a loss, and 1 for a tie.

At the end of the season, the two best teams from each league battle each other in the championship match, usually around October.
The winner is crowned that year’s GABL champion, with a large trophy to complement the win.
